First of all, Mike, great program. I have been a user for a couple years now. I have recently started migrating my music to my Mac in my little studio. I would love to take a crack at duplicating DFB in the OS X environment but I absolutely don't want to infringe on your copyrights or anything else. I was wondering how you felt about this and if it doesn't bother you what resources would you be willing to share?
I'm actually evaluating Qt and wxWidgets at the moment with the eventual goal of rewriting DFB to be cross platform Win/Mac/Linux, but I don't have a lot of spare time, so this won't happen quickly.
If you or someone else writes a similar program for the Mac, then I won't bother.
DFB is written in Delphi, which is not going to be easy to port directly, especially the media playback code, which is pure DirectShow calls. Also, the media pitch shift function is done by a freeware Delphi DSP library, which is going to be a difficult area to duplicate. That's why I plan for the cross platform version to be a complete rewrite in C++. Too many changes will need to be made.
