I would like to thank you for your efforts on this outstanding piece of software. I've spent considerable time searching for a good option and your program is a very nice solution. If you wouldn't mind, could you give me a little bit more detail regarding the foot pedal setup? I would really like to implement this option and I know how to use a soldering iron but I'm just not quite clear on what gets soldered to what. What sort of foot pedal works the best? Is the soldering going on in the pins of the pedal? I have looked through the help files and I hope I haven't missed something but all I see the sentence about the 4 and 9 pin. Could you elaborate a little? :)

A switch foot pedal has 2 wires. One of them needs to be soldered to pin 4 of a 9 pin female 'D' connector and the other to pin 9. That 'D' connector is then plugged into a com port on your computer. Some computers don't com with com ports now days, but USB com port adaptors are available.

You can also use the usb interface off an old keyboard and 2 footswitches to get page up and page down – this works great I built one and have been playing with it all week

I have not completed this project, but it occured to me that buying a wireless mouse and then attaching the left and right buttons on the mouse to strudy foot switches would give you a wireless foot pedal to work the scrolling from song to song…. just a thought, I'll post once I get this done

That's a good idea, but it would only give you next song cabability from the middle mouse button. The left and right buttons are used for thier normal functions.

I tried the mouse idea (hardwired first) and found windows cannot handle 2 pointing devices(check the net)

The wireless idea should work using pageup&down from a keyboard (i am using one on a usb port currently) I was going to build another wireless just haven't got time yet

That's odd. I have used a mouse + touchpad on laptops for years. I also use a mouse + touch-screens at work.

I have not yet purchased, but AirTurn AT-104 with 2 Boss FS-5U Footswitches seems to fit the bill – http://www.airturn.com/1t-104/  Using my keyboard, it appears the software will advance and go-back when hitting the Page Up and Page Down keys. This seems like a good solution, I will be purchasing shortly and will post results.

Sorry about that – I was trying to use 2 mice on my desktop computer and could not get it to work – I checked the net and it said that windows could not do it. That is why I took a keyboard apart and took the usb interface out of it and wired 2 switches to the pageup pagedown pins and have been using it ever since – cost about 10 dollars and some time
