I am wondering about backing up DFB??
My ultimate goal is to move my DFB off of
my desktop PC and onto my LAPTOP (when i get a laptop) so i can use the laptop on stage instead of a big thick Binder with fake book pages in it .
So can i just back-up the DFB file and then load to my laptop when the time comes
with no loss of data ??
any ideas will be appreciated

Yes. When you save a backup, it's just a complete copy of the song database. Any linked audio files are not stored, but if you stick to the idea of keeping them all in a folder called Audio they will be relinked in the new location.

It does not seem to be working for me . where is the database for DFB stored on my PC …
I thought I had copied it …but all i did was copy the shortcut an then the setup file ..
so where did the setup application place the DFB database with my song files so i can copy/move that to my thumb drive to install on my other computer ??

OK I GOT IT <<<< Thanks …so much ..for your help …when i finally saw the backup in the options menu I figured it out .
